PeaceJam!
On April 16-18, ten senior highs
and three adults from LCPC went to
Western Michigan University
in Kalamazoo, Michigan
to be part of PeaceJam and
to hear and meet Nobel Laureate
Betty Williams,
the 1976 winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for her peace in Northern Ireland
It was an incredible experience!
The youth of LCPC had their 8th PeaceJam experience last March in Kalamazoo, MI.
In the past we have met and been inspired by Nobel Laureates Jodi Williams (USA), Mairead Corrigan Maguire (Ireland), Josie Ramos-Horta (East Timor), Rigoberta Menchu Tum (Guatemala), and Shirin Ebadi (Iran). Click on the blue link and learn more....

Cuba Mission
As part of the Partners-in-Mission ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), LCPC has established a partnership with the Presbyterian Church in Caibarién, Cuba. We have assisted financially to help rebuild their church buildings, as well as with liturgical, educational and other materials to assist them with their ministries. Several missionary teams from LCPC have visited our brothers and sisters in Caibarién, there have been 5 trips, each taking serveral hundred dollars worth of medications and vitamins. Our next trip hopefully will be in late winter 2010....please consider joining us! Photos above left are from Caibarién and Havana, Cuba.
What's Else is New?
Well, this website has a new, progressive look... It's cool, with more up-to-date info and many pictures, too. The design is modern and hopefully you will find it easy to navigage. Go to Contact (above) to drop us an email.
A big advantage is that the staff (and eventually any of us), can easily update it. Monica, Colleen, and Harry have already modified select pages. Steve Ritchey is acting as webmaster in 2009. The web development team was led by Gil Cintra, included Eric Shultz and also Harry and Steve. Be sure to reach any of us with your comments.
Plan to check it each week, to see what is happening this Sunday! Tell your friends to take a look...you might even see them this sunday as well.
