Special Worship Schedules: Lent, Easter and Christmas
Special worship services are offered throughout the year as follows:
Ash Wednesday
The service for the Imposition of Ashes is held at 7:00 a.m. to mark the beginning of Lent. This is followed by breakfast. A Service of Healing is celebrated at 7:00 p.m.
Maundy Thursday
Sometimes it's a Seder Meal and other times a special service. Always there is communion.
7 pm in Bloomfield Hall or the sanctuary.
Good Friday
An ecumenical worship service. The pastors from at least seven churches gather at a different church each year to lead the service and deliver a sermon on the Last Seven Words of Christ. Members of the choirs from these churches also come together to provide the music. The service is at 12:00 noon.
Easter Sunday
Easter worship includes a Sunrise Service followed by breakfast, the Gathering Service at 9:00 a.m. and the Blended Service at 11:00 a.m.
Christmas Sunday and the Sunday before New Years
Usually on the Sunday after Christmas, there is just one combined Worship, at 11:00 a.m. Please check news and events to verify and see our complete advent schedule.
Christmas Eve
The Family Worship is at 5:00 p.m. and the Lessons and Carols Worship is at 10:00 p.m.
