We worship joyously!
Worship is central to what we do at LCPC and God is central in our worship. Worship is singing and praising and praying and seeking to understand God's transforming love, and to be renewed and equipped for God’s service in the world.
In worship we are challenged by the life and words of Jesus Christ who makes all things new.
Worship is the opportunity to be yourself and to seek a sense of the holy, ascribing all honor and glory and power to God.
During the summer (thru Labor Day) there is 1 service at 10. Each Sunday has a different music style.
Our 9 a.m. worship service is called the Gathering, a more casual worship experience in the sanctuary. Contemporary praise, up-beat spirituals, and thought provoking modern music are part of it. It features a jazz/gospel sound with a keyboard, guitar & percussion.
Our 11 a.m. worship service mixes both traditional and modern elements. This includes message, music, text and the visual. You may hear applause from time to time, or you may participate when the congregation, without any prompting, sings Happy Birthday to a fellow parishioner.
For each Sunday of the month, a different group prepares the liturgy, and selects the hymns, prayers, confessions, choral music, and other components of the worship celebration such as the use of acolytes. When there is a fifth Sunday in a month, the youth are in charge of the worship celebration. The result is a balanced experience that uplifts and renews in different, and sometimes unexpected, ways every Sunday.
