Worship is central to what we do at LCPC and God is central in our worship. Worship is singing and giving thanks and praying and seeking to understand God's transforming love.  We leave renewed and equipped for God’s service in the world.

In worship we are challenged by the life and words of Jesus Christ who makes all things new.

Worship is the opportunity to be yourself and to seek a sense of the holy, ascribing all honor and glory and power to God.

During the summer (thru Labor Day) there is 1 service at 10.  Each Sunday has a different music style.  Summer worship usually starts Memorial weekend Sunday.    A twist this year is that some Sundays will be a music theme that matches the worship theme or holiday.

Look to the right to see what was planned and done in Summer 2011.

After Labor Day we go back to our usual schedule:   see "This Sunday" or "Festival Sundays" for exceptions to our usual schedule.

Our 9 a.m. worship service is called the Gathering, a  more casual worship experience in the sanctuary. Contemporary praise, up-beat spirituals, and thought provoking modern music are part of it. It features a jazz/gospel sound with keyboard, guitar & percussion.

Our 11 a.m. worship service mixes both classic and modern elements. This includes message, music, text and the visual. You may hear applause from time to time, or you may participate when the congregation, without any prompting, sings Happy Birthday to a fellow parishioner.

For each Sunday of the month, a different person leads the readings.  Our readings are modern and we have diverse songs, prayers, scriptures, choral music, and other components of our worship celebrations. When there is a fifth Sunday in a month, the youth are often in charge of the worship celebration. The result is a balanced experience that uplifts and renews in different, and sometimes unexpected, ways every Sunday.  Come and find out at any of our worship services!
